After watching Manchester United fall to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Norwich this weekend, it became apparent what the problem was. United are still, on occasion, relying on Ryan Giggs to play in center midfield. Combine this with the common use of the formerly retired Scholes, and the remaining presence of the truly dreadful and untalented Michael Carrick in the team, and it is clear that Fergie has a gaping hole in his team, this hole being his midfield. The wingers too, are nothing compared to the Giggseys, Ronaldos and Beckhams of old. Fergie has a problem, and to compete at the top he needs to solve it, fast. Fellaini of Everton would be a good step in the right direction.
